What you will do

• Lead the design and delivery of complex features and systems with measurable impact.
• Own system architecture, making decisions to balance scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Drive execution across multiple sprints to ensure high-quality and timely delivery.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to influence scope and user outcomes.
• Mentor engineers and establish best practices in code quality, testing, and observability.
• Identify technical risks and develop proactive mitigation strategies.

Requirements

• Experience designing and delivering production systems in a professional environment.
• Strong proficiency with the Java Virtual Machine (JVM).
• Proven ability to own system design and lead technical execution from concept to delivery.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.
• Based in Medellín, Colombia.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud systems, specifically AWS or Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with distributed systems and large-scale architectures.
• Proficiency with Kotlin or Spring.
• Experience leading multi-sprint or cross-team initiatives.
