Salary: $69,000 – $114,000 annually

What you will do

• Identify, assess, and control workplace hazards and risks.
• Implement and update company health, safety, and environmental (HESA) procedures.
• Analyze monitoring results, safety statistics, and trends to recommend action plans.
• Develop and deliver HESA training programs for staff.
• Participate in internal audit programs and safety committee meetings.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in the manufacturing facility.

Requirements

• Degree in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or related engineering discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of Canadian manufacturing safety standards and local legislation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work onsite in a steel manufacturing mill.

Nice to have

• CRSP, CSP, or CIH certifications.
• Experience working in a steel mill or metal manufacturing environment.
