TL;DR
Senior Continuous Improvement Engineer (Lean Manufacturing): Leading operational transformation and implementing lean methodologies to optimize electrical distribution system production with an accent on kaizen events, standard work, and data-driven process improvement. Focus on eliminating systemic barriers, designing standard work from the ground up, and coaching operational leaders in Daily Management.
Location: 100% on-site in Surrey, BC. No remote work.
Compensation: $45.67 - 56.25/hr CAD

What you will do
- Plan and facilitate kaizen events focusing on line balancing, SMED, 5S, and visual management.
- Conduct value stream mapping and process analysis to develop data-driven improvement roadmaps.
- Design standard work sequences, takt time, operator training, and visual controls from the ground up.
- Lead root-cause problem solving using PDCA, A3, and 8D methodologies.
- Mentor E2 engineers and coach operations leaders on Daily Management discipline and lean thinking.
- Establish and monitor KPIs related to productivity, quality, lead time, and cost savings.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, business, operations, or a related field.
- 7–10+ years of experience in manufacturing, operations, or continuous improvement.
- Proven experience leading 10+ kaizen events from concept to sustained implementation.
- Deep understanding of Lean Manufacturing tools (VSM, takt time, pull systems, standard work).
- Proficiency in process improvement methodologies such as PDCA, A3, 8D, and 5-why analysis.
- Must be based in or able to work 100% on-site in Surrey, BC.
