TL;DR

HSE Field Advisor (Health, Safety & Environment): Supporting health, safety, and environmental program delivery across multiple work sites in Eastern Canada with an accent on program compliance and site leadership. Location: Hybrid (80% field / 20% office), based in Mississauga, ON, with travel across Eastern Canada

Salary: CAD 70,000 - 80,000 yearly

What you will do

  • Conduct regular site visits across Eastern Canada to monitor HSE program compliance and support site leadership.
  • Identify and assess hazards through field-level inspections and risk assessments, recommending appropriate controls.
  • Lead and direct site-level incident and accident investigations, preparing timely and accurate reports.
  • Support and motivate site leaders to prioritize HSE management systems and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure HSE management systems are resourced and maintained to prevent injuries, illnesses, and environmental impacts.
  • Collaborate with the HSE Manager to ensure consistent practices across all sites and operations.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of progressive work experience in occupational health and safety, preferably in field-based environments.
  • Post-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety, Business, Trades & Technology, or equivalent field experience.
  • Valid Canadian driver's licence.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Knowledge of Canadian municipal, provincial, and federal occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Ability to pass drug, alcohol, and fit-to-work testing as a condition of employment for a safety-sensitive position.
