Global Head of Commercial Legal (AI)

What you will do

• Lead strategic, complex, multi-year software and infrastructure transactions with major AI, cloud, sovereign fund, and enterprise counterparties.
• Design and refine global commercial contract templates, including master software agreements, AI product terms, and vendor procurement frameworks.
• Establish fallback positions and risk-escalation matrices to accelerate deal execution while maintaining governance.
• Address legal issues involving parallel computing, large-scale data ingestion, real-time processing, privacy, and cross-border data transfers.
• Recruit, mentor, and lead commercial counsel and legal specialists across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.
• Build AI-first legal operations, contract intelligence, automated triage, enablement programs, and KPI systems.

Requirements

• 12+ years of legal experience, including top-tier law firm training and in-house leadership in enterprise SaaS, deep tech, or AI infrastructure.
• Experience leading commercial legal teams through rapid international growth or a pre-IPO transition is highly desirable.
• Exceptional experience drafting and negotiating complex software licenses, technology partnerships, and cloud infrastructure agreements.
• Strong understanding of AI stacks, data storage architectures, GPU-accelerated environments, and enterprise data lifecycle management.
• Ability to make pragmatic decisions in an ambiguous and evolving regulatory environment.
• JD from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing.
