Director – PDK Architecture (Semiconductor/EDA): Lead the PDK Architecture team driving Intel’s Process Design Kit (PDK) technical execution across leading-edge technology nodes with an accent on cross-functional program execution, PDK targeting/definition, and specification governance. Focus on translating technology requirements into scalable, high-quality, customer-ready PDK deliverables, including 3DIC and advanced packaging enablement, while ensuring readiness and quality before schedule impact.

What you will do

• Define and specify PDK scope and content; align and lock inputs with Technology Definition before execution.
• Drive technology closure and readiness assessments across Logic, SRAM, AMS, APR, Reliability, and Packaging domains.
• Own PDK specification methodology, quality standards, and governance, including machine-readable and AI-enabled specification frameworks.
• Lead 3DIC and advanced packaging PDK architecture roadmap, including 3DK collateral for heterogeneous integration.
• Provide cross-functional leadership across globally distributed teams and partner with program management for PDK execution.
• Run executive-level reviews to identify and resolve technology readiness gaps before they impact PDK schedules.

Requirements

• MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years in semiconductor technology development, design enablement, EDA, PDK development, CAD, DTCO, or related fields.
• Strong communication and executive presentation skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with foundry PDK development and release processes.
• Knowledge of design rules, extraction, modeling, physical verification, custom design flows, APR flows, and validation methodologies.
• Experience working with EDA partners such as Synopsys, Cadence, and Siemens.
• Knowledge of specification systems, automation frameworks, AI-assisted workflows, and software development methodologies.
• Proven experience driving organizational transformation, standardization, and quality improvements.
