What you will do

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable Product Access and entitlement systems for cloud, API, and AI-driven products.
• Define and drive the long-term technical strategy and engineering vision for access enforcement platforms.
• Drive greenfield initiatives and foundational platform capabilities through hands-on prototyping and implementation.
• Champion the adoption of AI-assisted software development practices using tools like Claude Code and GitHub Copilot.
• Build highly scalable, low-latency, and resilient distributed systems supporting various consumption models.
• Mentor engineers and influence technical direction across multiple engineering organizations to drive platform adoption.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience building large-scale distributed systems and platform services.
• Deep expertise in cloud-native architectures, microservices, and API design.
• Proven experience building Product Access, entitlement, or usage-based licensing systems.
• Practical experience leveraging AI-assisted development workflows (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot).
• Ability to influence technical strategy across multiple organizations without direct authority.
• Must be located in or be able to undergo in-person onboarding in San Francisco, CA, USA.

Nice to have

• Experience with SaaS licensing and entitlement models.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes, event-driven architectures, and AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Exposure to AI/ML-enabled product patterns and agentic workflows.
• Experience driving enterprise-scale platform adoption and technical convergence.
