Associate Scientist, R&D (cfDNA)

What you will do

• Plan, design, execute, and report assay development and validation studies under a design control quality system.
• Prepare and characterize clinical samples from whole blood, plasma, and cell-free DNA.
• Write study plans, execution protocols, research reports, and standard operating procedures.
• Process laboratory specimens using LIMS and database queries for accurate tracking and verification.
• Conduct experiments, prepare reagents, and perform quality control for next-generation sequencing assays.
• Document results in laboratory notebooks and present findings to cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• B.S. degree with 2–5 years of experience, M.S. degree with 2+ years of experience, or Ph.D. with 0–2 years of industry experience.
• Industrial experience with next-generation sequencing-based assays and protocols.
• Hands-on experience with nucleic acid and DNA/RNA molecular biology, including extraction, PCR, NGS library preparation, hybrid capture, and DNA quantitation.
• Experience with high-throughput sample processing, automated liquid handling, and CLIA laboratory environments.
• Experience with cell-free DNA technologies, design of experiments, stability testing, guard banding, and reproducibility and repeatability validation.
• Experience working in regulated environments and performing basic statistical analysis of experimental data.
