Intern - Kite Research - Cell Biology (Flow Cytometry)

Location: Foster City, California, United States; hybrid internship with required on-site laboratory work. Fully remote work is not offered.

Salary: $19.00–$55.00 per hour

What you will do

• Perform mammalian cell tissue culture using sterile techniques.
• Conduct lentiviral transduction, cell staining, and sample preparation for spectral flow cytometry.
• Start up and perform quality control on flow cytometry instruments.
• Run spectral flow cytometry experiments and analyze data with FlowJo.
• Document experiments, communicate plans and results, and coordinate tasks across multiple projects.
• Present internship work in a final PowerPoint presentation.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old at the start of the internship.
• Must be enrolled full-time at an accredited U.S. college or university and remain enrolled full-time in the following fall semester.
• Must be an undergraduate or graduate/doctoral student with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8.
• Must be independently authorized to work in the United States without current or future school or employer sponsorship.
• Must commit to a full-time internship of 10–12 consecutive weeks between May and August and work at the designated site.
• Preferred experience includes flow cytometry, mammalian tissue culture, cell passaging, transduction or transfection, and 1–3 years of industry or academic experience.
