What you will do

• Own Wattpad’s P&L end-to-end, identifying business inefficiencies and driving profitability initiatives with an ROI-first mindset.
• Lead the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and strategic planning processes, building and maintaining P&L forecasts and financial models.
• Manage and optimize company-wide technology spend (hosting fees, software/tools, cloud services, security-related tools) by analyzing usage, partnering with Engineering/IT/Security, and aligning capacity and cost.
• Improve cost efficiency and ROI for Marketing, Content, and Paid Content subscription spend by analyzing campaign performance, content investment returns, and subscription monetization.
• Evaluate investments, initiatives, and vendor contracts using ROI-based business cases and post-investment reviews.
• Act as a finance business partner to leaders, delivering decision support and ad hoc financial analysis; leverage Google Workspace and Claude AI to accelerate reporting and modeling.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of FP&A, business finance, or corporate finance experience, including hands-on P&L management, budgeting/forecasting, and financial modeling.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Google Workspace (GWS), with demonstrated interest in applying AI tools such as Claude AI to finance workflows.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to influence stakeholders across functions and levels.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines with high accuracy.
• Solid understanding of P&L structure, ROI analysis, and budget/cost management across hosting, software/tools, cloud, and security-related tool spend.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience optimizing SaaS/software, server, and cloud/hosting costs (usage analysis and vendor negotiations).
• Experience with AOP/strategic planning cycles and business partnering with non-finance teams (Engineering, IT, Product, Marketing, Content).
• Experience analyzing marketing ROI, content investment returns, or subscription-based (paid content) business models.
• Korean/English bilingual proficiency.
• MBA, MS in Finance, or CPA designation.
