What you will do
- Triage and troubleshoot tickets from ebook and audiobook publishers and KWL authors.
- Investigate and solve metadata and content processing failures for digital assets.
- Create and analyze catalogue reports using SQL and internal content management systems.
- Maintain process documentation for audiobooks, eBooks, and the Kobo Writing Life program.
- Support ad-hoc projects and research digital publishing standards.
Requirements
- Education in publishing, digital media, or equivalent experience in the book industry.
- General understanding of industry standards like ISBNs, ONIX files, and .epub formats.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, concatenate, pivot tables).
- Familiarity with the Kobo ecosystem (apps, devices, or publishing tools).
- Must be based in Toronto, Canada to support a hybrid work environment.
Nice to have
- Specific knowledge of audiobooks or .epub file structures.
- Experience working with XML languages.
- Experience working with audio files.
