Mechanical Team Lead (Automotive)

Location: 2177 Covington Pike, Memphis, Tennessee 38128, United States; onsite role at a vehicle reconditioning center.

What you will do

• Supervise and motivate technicians, cosmetic repair associates, and detailers working on inventory vehicles.
• Manage the safe movement of vehicles into and out of the reconditioning center while meeting production and quality goals.
• Inspect incoming inventory and identify mechanical and cosmetic defects.
• Participate in inspection and repair procedures to improve efficiency and decision-making.
• Mentor and train team members to complete work effectively while reducing re-checks and production delays.
• Maintain safe shop conditions and support a positive, professional work environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience managing 15 or more employees; supply chain management experience is preferred.
• At least 5 years of automotive experience.
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• Ability to communicate in English in a safety-sensitive and technical environment.
• Ability to lift and transport up to 60 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work in a hot, cold, noisy, wet, or fume-filled vehicle maintenance environment.
