What you will do

• Architect and implement backend systems that integrate AI-native products into large-scale auto casualty business workflows.
• Analyze complex legacy systems to determine modernization strategies, including rebuilding or replacing components.
• Build production-ready backend architectures that support both rapid prototyping and long-term stability.
• Set engineering best practices, including design documentation, code reviews, and consistency standards.
• Partner closely with Product, Data Science, and Data Engineering teams to translate business problems into technical solutions.

Requirements

• 8+ years of engineering experience with a proven track record of end-to-end feature ownership.
• Strong hands-on coding proficiency in Python and TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Deep architectural experience in modernizing multi-tenant, multi-user backends and relational database design.
• Experience with AI-assisted and agentic engineering tools in a production environment.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (Sponsorship available for visa transfers).
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build trust across cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with C# / .NET for legacy system modernization.
• Background in both startup/scale-up and large enterprise environments.
• Domain knowledge in insurance, claims, or auto casualty.
