Salary: $210,000 – $250,000

What you will do

• Own and evolve the architecture of authentication and authorization systems across multiple products.
• Design secure identity workflows including OAuth 2.0/OIDC, session management, and service-to-service authentication.
• Lead the development of shared platform services and reusable engineering patterns for microservices.
• Identify and resolve systemic performance bottlenecks across APIs, databases, and distributed service interactions.
• Improve developer productivity through optimized CI/CD workflows, test infrastructure, and self-service tooling.
• Mentor senior engineers and lead complex technical initiatives across team boundaries.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with complex production systems at scale.
• Deep expertise in backend and distributed systems architecture.
• Strong practical knowledge of authentication/authorization (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, RBAC, ABAC).
• Proven ability to lead large, multi-component technical initiatives from design to production.
• Strong operational mindset with experience in Kubernetes, observability, and CI/CD.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience building centralized identity or authorization platforms.
• Proficiency with Python, FastAPI, Pydantic, PostgreSQL, or Go.
• Knowledge of healthcare security and compliance standards like HIPAA and SOC 2.
