Senior Operations Engineer - Hosting

What you will do

• Coordinate and execute patching, vulnerability remediation, validation, and reporting across server environments.
• Review vulnerability scan results, prioritize remediation by risk and business impact, and maintain audit evidence.
• Resolve hosting incidents and problems and support server and virtual machine provisioning, upgrades, migrations, and decommissioning.
• Perform monitoring, health checks, capacity management, backup, recovery, and restoration across on-premises and cloud platforms.
• Coordinate with Security, Application, Infrastructure, Digital, and Platform teams and communicate technical risks in business-relevant terms.
• Improve patching, monitoring, reporting, and operational processes through automation, standardization, runbooks, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience operating in complex enterprise environments and coordinating or leading technical teams.
• Strong end-to-end vulnerability management experience, including remediation approaches such as OS patching, application upgrades, configuration changes, and compensating controls.
• Technical literacy across Windows and Linux, IIS, Apache, NGINX, application and middleware platforms, SSL/TLS, certificates, cipher suites, and encryption standards.
• Experience interpreting vulnerability scan outputs, including Tenable, and leading remediation through influence rather than direct authority.
• Experience with Windows Server administration, Microsoft Azure, VMware, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, monitoring, backup and recovery.
• Knowledge of ITIL-aligned incident, problem, change, and service request management, plus scripting or automation with PowerShell, Ansible, or equivalent tools.

Nice to have

• Exposure to Hosting Operations, Infrastructure Support, Service Desk, Workplace Technology, or Cloud Operations environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Security, infrastructure, or cloud certifications.
• Experience with large-scale enterprise hosting and ISO-governed environments.
