Network Engineer (VoIP)

What you will do

• Plan, support, troubleshoot, and administer network infrastructure and customer enterprise network solutions.
• Provide Level III network support and resolve network problems, outages, and complex SIP VoIP and IP internetworking challenges.
• Design network configurations, direct system installations, and maintain routers, switches, servers, and network equipment.
• Establish, document, and enforce network standards, access controls, and security policies.
• Optimize network performance, schedule upgrades, and collaborate with network architects.
• Mentor team members and provide escalation support, documentation, reporting, and knowledge transfer.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on network engineering experience, a relevant degree, or equivalent training and experience.
• Experience designing, troubleshooting, operating, and improving complex enterprise, carrier-grade SIP VoIP, or Internet backbone networks.
• Hands-on knowledge of IP routing and switching, including VRF, OSPF, BGP, route redistribution, Spanning Tree, DSCP, MP-BGP, and MPLS VPN.
• Experience with carrier-grade VoIP infrastructure, hosted PBX platforms, SBC clusters, and endpoint devices.
• Strong working knowledge of Juniper, Cisco, and Adtran routers and switches; Cisco CCNP or equivalent knowledge.
• Ability to analyze Wireshark results, create and modify security policies, communicate clearly, and work occasional nights, weekends, or other off-hours when required.
