Procurement Specialist

What you will do

• Create, update, and send purchase orders for raw materials to approved vendors in line with company policies.
• Research and source alternative suppliers/components with engineering to improve price, delivery, and quality.
• Monitor stock levels and inventory data; place replenishment orders to avoid overstocking while supporting production.
• Maintain supplier relationships and run vendor evaluations for pricing, delivery, and quality requirements.
• Reconcile purchase orders, received materials, and invoices; resolve issues with damaged or incorrect goods.
• Receive and inspect incoming goods, manage inventory records and audits, and support shipping documentation and production scheduling.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in purchasing, manufacturing scheduling, shipping, or warehousing.
• Associate degree in business or supply chain management, or certifications such as APICS or CPSM (preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; working knowledge of ERP or manufacturing software.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for tracking costs, operational efficiency, and capacity/material requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple urgent tasks and manufacturing projects to meet delivery and cost objectives.
• Experience sourcing components in HVAC (preferred) and experience with continuous improvement projects.
