Supply Chain Specialist

TL;DR

Supply Chain Specialist (Purchasing/Procurement): Managing sourcing and procurement of components and finished goods to keep production plans on track, inventory levels healthy, and supply issues minimal with an accent on ERP-driven planning, supplier performance, and BOM/change-order accuracy. Focus on resolving delivery and supplier issues quickly while collaborating cross-functionally with Engineering and Contract Manufacturers to support new products, long-lead buys, and end-of-life components.

Location: Hybrid — in-office work at our office on Barnes Canyon, San Diego, CA, and remote work; expected in office 3 days per week (may vary by business demands).

Salary: $73,000 - $91,000 annually (starting base pay range).

What you will do

• Manage purchase orders and supplier communications to support production needs.
• Send forecasts and planning updates to vendors; track inventory levels and lead times.
• Resolve delivery issues and supplier performance concerns; support supplier reviews and QBRs with KPI tracking.
• Handle change orders, part setups, and BOM updates in the ERP system; ensure data integrity across item masters, MRP inputs, and component records.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Contract Manufacturers to validate BOMs and support sourcing for new products, long-lead buys, and end-of-life components.
• Drive continuous improvement across procurement and material flow while ensuring compliance with Privacy/HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
• 4+ years of experience in material procurement, including change order experience.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (preferably Microsoft D365) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong understanding of MRP planning, purchasing processes, and inventory management.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and support manufacturing requirements.
• Authorization to work in the U.S.; unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa.
