Associate General Counsel

Salary: $185,000 - $235,000 USD

What you will do

• Draft, review, and negotiate software, technology, services, vendor, reseller, manufacturer, licensing, and other commercial contracts.
• Advise on commercial terms, compliance, privacy, security, and regulatory legal issues.
• Partner with executive, sales, IT, and product teams to support scaling legal and business processes.
• Collaborate with the hirify.global/Alarm.com legal team and manage legal staff.
• Develop and drive compliance policies and procedures aligned with regulatory and business standards.
• Supervise outside counsel and manage internal paralegal resources as needed.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience in-house or at a large law firm with software/technology industry experience.
• Strong experience negotiating, drafting, and reviewing a broad range of commercial contracts and familiarity with corporate, commercial, privacy, IP, regulatory, and compliance matters.
• Demonstrated interest in becoming a corporate generalist.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure and meet deadlines in a growing company.
• J.D. from a leading law school and membership in or eligibility for admission to the New York Bar.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to Alarm.com’s HQ in the Washington, DC area.
