Company
runs a Data Protection (DP) function within Compliance to manage and monitor personal data protection, privacy, and retention compliance risks.
What you will do
- Embed data protection into the compliance risk management cycle (preventive and detective) with proper governance and reporting.
- Provide integrated data protection advice on strategic business initiatives and support GDPR assessments.
- Monitor and report operating effectiveness and adherence to applicable laws, regulations, policies, and control effectiveness.
- Perform horizon scanning for new legal developments that may impact ING The Netherlands’ data protection position.
- Design and deliver awareness and training activities in collaboration with the DPE office NL.
- Ensure effective follow-up after impactful data breaches, including root cause analyses and lessons learned.
Requirements
- Law degree in a relevant area.
- 5+ years of experience advising on GDPR assessments related to business initiatives.
- 3+ years of experience in the financial sector.
- Fluent English and Dutch language skills.
- Good knowledge and practical experience with Compliance/NFR controls, monitoring, and reporting.
- Specialized data protection knowledge (legal and/or technical) plus strong stakeholder management and analytical communication skills.
