What you will do

• Advise Product, Engineering, and cross-functional stakeholders on legal issues throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Review and assess new products, features, and initiatives, balancing risk management with innovation and execution speed.
• Counsel teams on intellectual property, software licensing, privacy, AI, security, and regulatory considerations for company products.
• Develop scalable legal guidance, policies, playbooks, and training materials to enable informed decisions.
• Partner with commercial, privacy, security, compliance, and corporate legal colleagues to address cross-functional legal issues and drive alignment.
• Monitor emerging legal, regulatory, and industry developments and translate them into actionable guidance.

Requirements

• J.D. and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
• 4–7 years of relevant legal experience counseling SaaS companies.
• Strong legal judgment with high-quality legal analysis and attention to detail across a broad range of product counseling matters.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills to clearly articulate and defend risk analysis to technical, business, legal, and executive audiences.
• Ability to operate independently in ambiguous, fast-paced environments while balancing competing priorities.
• Comfort navigating ambiguity and spotting issues early to help teams move forward with clear, actionable advice.
