Head of Managed Services (Hedge Accounting)

Location: New York, United States; in-office collaboration for 10+ days per month

Annual base salary for positions based in New York: $196,000–$240,000 USD, excluding equity and additional compensation.

What you will do

• Run and scale the Hedge Accounting managed services practice across FX and interest rate risk programs.
• Design the operating model covering trade capture, close, disclosure, audit response, and client support.
• Lead Hedge Accounting Managers, Derivative Accountants, and the Client Support and Solutions team.
• Forecast capacity, make staffing decisions, define delivery KPIs, and own hiring and workforce planning.
• Set the practice methodology and technical positions, resolving novel or contested hedge accounting issues.
• Partner with Product, Implementation, Customer Success, Sales, and Renewal teams on service design, growth, and retention.

Requirements

• CPA certification required; an advanced degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
• 12+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 8–10 years focused on derivative instruments and hedge accounting.
• Deep technical expertise in ASC 815 and IFRS 9 across FX and interest rate risk management.
• 5+ years managing and developing accounting or finance teams, including managers.
• Experience with staffing and capacity planning, KPI tracking, workflow design, and delivery quality management.
• Strong knowledge of FX forwards, options, cross-currency swaps, interest rate swaps, caps, floors, and collars.

Nice to have

• Experience with hirify.global Treasury, Chatham Financial, Reval, FIS Quantum, or comparable treasury management systems.
• Advanced degree in Accounting or Finance.
