Manager, Hedge Fund Accounting

Location: Hybrid in New York City, Union, NJ, or Boston, MA

Salary: $78,000–$165,000 annually in New Jersey and New York; $115,000–$165,000 annually in Massachusetts. Additional discretionary bonus and/or equity awards may be available.

What you will do

• Lead the day-to-day workflow, priorities, and deliverables of the U.S. Client Service Fund Accounting team.
• Coach, mentor, train, and manage the performance of accounting professionals.
• Review and approve P&L reporting, NAV calculations, pricing, economic allocations, financial statements, and partner capital statements.
• Build client relationships, act as the primary client contact, and provide technical accounting guidance.
• Lead client onboardings, fund launches, reorganizations, platform conversions, and external audit coordination.
• Resolve complex operational issues and partner on product development, process improvements, testing, and system implementations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 6+ years of fund accounting experience with a hedge fund administrator.
• 3+ years of leadership or people management experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and hedge fund accounting principles, including financial statements, audit support, and investor allocations.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency and experience with equities, fixed income, repurchase agreements, futures, foreign exchange, mortgages, or options.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and client communication skills.

• Experience with the Geneva fund accounting platform.
• Experience leading client onboardings, fund launches, reorganizations, or platform conversions.
• Success driving process improvements, operational efficiencies, or system implementations in fund accounting.
