Senior Manager Bank Accounting - Hedging and Investments

Location: Hybrid role based in Lone Tree, CO; Westlake, TX; or Omaha, NE

Salary: USD $91,800–$180,000 per year, plus bonus or incentive opportunities

What you will do

• Lead accounting for derivatives and hedge accounting activities, including swaps, caps, floors, and other derivative products.
• Oversee accounting, controls, close activities, reconciliations, analysis, and reporting for available-for-sale and held-to-maturity securities.
• Partner with Treasury and liquidity teams on repurchase agreements, FHLB and Federal Reserve funding, and balance-sheet management.
• Provide accounting conclusions and responses to SEC Reporting, Regulatory Reporting, Accounting Policy, senior leadership, and external auditors.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Investments and Hedge Accounting team while overseeing system implementation, operational accounting, SOX compliance, and month-end close.
• Drive process improvements and cross-functional initiatives across Bank Accounting and Treasury.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 8–10+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, preferably involving securities, derivatives, hedge accounting, bank accounting, or treasury.
• Strong technical accounting judgment and experience applying complex accounting concepts in controlled operating environments.
• Experience with operational accounting, treasury platforms, accounting systems, implementation, testing, and project management in high-volume environments.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, plus strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams and manage complex deliverables.

Nice to have

• CPA strongly preferred; CFA or another relevant professional credential is a plus.
• Experience with Calypso Technology or a comparable treasury or capital markets platform.
• Bank, broker-dealer, financial services, capital markets, or treasury experience.
