Salary: $176,000 - $264,000 USD

What you will do

• Oversee compliance programs for state and federal employment laws, including payroll, benefits, and anti-discrimination.
• Partner with HR to develop policies regarding accommodations, leaves of absence, and onboarding.
• Conduct regular audits of compliance programs and implement necessary corrective actions.
• Provide legal counsel on job classifications, background checks, and employment separation matters.
• Draft and deliver legal training for people leaders and maintain the Employee Handbook.
• Manage OFCCP compliance reports and other regulatory filings.

Requirements

• JD from an ABA accredited school.
• 10+ years of employment law experience.
• Admitted to the bar in good standing in at least one U.S. State.
• Must be based in Bastrop, TX (Onsite).
• U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee (ITAR requirements).
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed.

Nice to have

• Experience with California employment law.
• Background in domestic manufacturing or significant international operations.
• Experience with AAP preparation and OFCCP compliance evaluations.
• Excellent academic record from a top-tier law school.
