Senior Software Engineer (Fullstack)

Location: Kosice, Slovakia; onsite position

Salary: €3,600+ gross per month; base minimum pay of €41,736 per year; performance-related annual cash incentive.

What you will do

• Design, develop, modify, and implement software applications using agile methods.
• Build scalable, customer-facing web applications and resolve workflow problems through automation.
• Develop new applications and enhance existing source code and documentation.
• Design and integrate distributed systems, asynchronous communication patterns, authentication, and access models.
• Use automated testing, CI/CD, containers, and public-cloud deployment practices.
• Work independently on complex systems while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with engineering leadership in Slovakia and the US.

Requirements

• Strong experience with HTML5, CSS3, React, Node, Next.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Strong experience with Java 21, Spring Boot 3, microservices, REST API design and integration, and SQL.
• Experience with scalable web applications, distributed systems, asynchronous communication, and system integration.
• Knowledge of authentication, authorization, OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and entitlement-driven access models.
• Experience with AWS or Azure, CI/CD tools, Docker, cloud-native deployment patterns, and agile software development.
• Ability to analyze problems, communicate effectively, and work independently on complex systems.

Nice to have

• Degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
• Experience maintaining existing code and working with automated testing.
• Interest in design systems, code reusability, and maintainability.
• Familiarity with specification-driven engineering and AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot.
