Senior Software Fullstack Engineer (Strong Back End Expertise)

Location: Bratislava, Slovakia; hybrid work arrangement

Base salary: EUR 3,800–6,300 per month for a full-time role, plus performance-based variable compensation.

What you will do

• Design and develop backend software solutions for scalable, cloud-native SaaS/PaaS products.
• Build and launch proof-of-concept solutions using new technologies and rapid prototyping.
• Maintain application performance, scalability, security, reliability, and high availability.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, engineering managers, and software engineers to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Participate in architecture workshops, code reviews, and development discussions.
• Guide and coach fellow engineers on software engineering and SDLC best practices.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Java or Kotlin and Spring Boot, including Spring Security, asynchronous jobs, request interceptors, and custom annotations.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases such as MSSQL and PostgreSQL, Flyway, Hibernate, and JPA.
• Experience with API design, REST APIs, messaging, JSON serialization, API management, and cross-service integration patterns.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes/AKS, CI/CD, containerization, and cloud deployment.
• Knowledge of secure software design, static code analysis, vulnerability scanning, remediation, and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with Terraform, OpenTelemetry, Application Insights, structured logging, metrics, tracing, software testing, release processes, and technical documentation.

Nice to have

• Frontend development experience with React and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Knowledge of component-based architecture, state management, REST API integration, frontend testing, and build tooling.
• Experience with one or more web or application servers.
