Software Engineer/Lead Software Engineer (Java/AWS)

Location: Hybrid role for candidates living within a 50-mile radius of a hub in Bloomington, Illinois; Richardson, Texas; Atlanta/Dunwoody, Georgia; or Tempe, Arizona. Applicants must be eligible to work lawfully in the United States immediately; visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $105,000–$140,000 per year, plus potential annual incentive pay of up to 15% of base salary.

What you will do

• Design, build, deploy, and support secure, scalable applications and APIs for the B2B Identity and Access Management platform.
• Develop full-stack cloud solutions using Java, Spring Boot, JavaScript, React, REST, and GraphQL on AWS and ROSA.
• Manage infrastructure as code, GitLab CI/CD delivery pipelines, and Docker-based deployments.
• Improve application security, reliability, observability, testing, and maintainability.
• Troubleshoot application, cloud infrastructure, and identity-service issues.
• Collaborate with product, UX, security, architecture, and engineering teams while using AI-assisted development tools.

Requirements

• Full-stack development experience with Java, Spring Boot, JavaScript, React, and APIs.
• Hands-on AWS and cloud-native development experience.
• Experience with infrastructure as code, CI/CD, containers, automated testing, and relational databases.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to learn new technologies and work effectively in an Agile environment.
• Eligibility to work in the United States immediately without employer-sponsored work authorization.

Nice to have

• Experience with GraphQL, ROSA, OpenShift, Kubernetes, or enterprise design systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Entra, Microsoft Graph, IAM, passwordless authentication, passkeys, or OTP.
• Experience with TypeScript, Angular, Node, Python, Go, Dynatrace, production support, or end-to-end software delivery.
• Familiarity with the Merna tech stack and direction.
