Senior Full Stack Engineer (Strong Frontend Expertise)

Location: Bratislava, Slovakia

Salary: EUR 3,800–6,300 per month for a full-time role, plus performance-based variable compensation.

What you will do

• Design and develop rich, high-quality frontend applications for cloud-native, scalable environments.
• Build and maintain secure, reliable, high-performing software for external Life & Health insurance clients.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, engineering managers, and engineering teams to translate business needs into robust solutions.
• Participate in architecture and design workshops, code reviews, Agile delivery, and other SDLC activities.
• Evaluate and prototype new technologies through Proofs of Concept.
• Mentor engineers and promote software engineering best practices and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Strong expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, modern UI development, state management, routing, accessibility, and frontend performance optimization.
• Experience with responsive design, MUI, CSS Modules, Tailwind CSS, PostCSS, Sass/Less, semantic HTML, ARIA, keyboard navigation, and automated accessibility testing.
• Testing experience with Jest and React Testing Library, with exposure to Cypress or Playwright.
• Experience designing and integrating APIs, understanding backend implementations, and troubleshooting end to end.
• Knowledge of relational databases, Flyway, Hibernate/JPA, enterprise authentication, secure coding, vulnerability remediation, and cloud-native architecture.
• Experience with Azure DevOps pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, cloud infrastructure, networking, and security.

Nice to have

• Experience developing enterprise backend applications with Java or Kotlin and Spring Boot.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, messaging, JSON serialization, Spring Security, asynchronous jobs, request interceptors, and custom annotation processors.
