What you will do
- Manage the resort's physical plant, including refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, electrical systems, grounds, vehicles, and recreational facilities.
- Plan and oversee preventive maintenance, repairs, asset protection, inspections, inventory, and equipment procurement.
- Control utilities, energy conservation, operating budgets, capital expenditure projects, and service contracts.
- Maintain facility licenses, certifications, fire safety systems, alarms, sprinklers, and regulatory compliance.
- Lead emergency response for facility issues and coordinate with vendors, authorities, and fire safety personnel.
- Lead engineering employees, support hiring and training, and contribute to guest satisfaction and service improvement.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED plus 4 years of experience in engineering, maintenance, or a related professional area; or a 2-year degree in building and construction, engineering, mechanics, or a related major plus 1 year of relevant experience.
- Technical training in HVAC-R, electrical, or plumbing.
- Experience managing building systems, maintenance operations, budgets, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to lead maintenance and emergency response activities in a luxury resort environment.
