What you will do

• Provide strategic leadership and accountability for the successful delivery of the CASA 3 programme.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for the client, consortium partners, and technical delivery teams.
• Oversee programme governance, financial management, budgeting, and contractual compliance.
• Manage programme risks, adaptive responses, and quality assurance of all deliverables.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture and lead performance management processes.
• Represent the programme in governance forums, steering committees, and external events.

Requirements

• Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
• Proven experience in a leadership role on complex, donor-funded climate change or international development projects.
• Strong background in programme and financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and compliance.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills with senior decision-makers.
• Ability to produce high-quality reports and briefings in a timely manner.
• Must be based in or able to work from the London office in a hybrid capacity.

Nice to have

• Direct experience supporting climate negotiations (e.g., LDC, AOSIS, HAC, AILAC).
• Prior experience managing DESNZ or FCDO-funded programmes.
