Electrical Engineer II (Medtech)

Location: Must be based in Galway, Ireland (Hybrid)

Salary: €49,920 – €74,880

What you will do

• Support electrical design activities for cardiac ablation platforms, including generators and energy delivery systems.
• Contribute to the development of electrical architectures, requirements, and design approaches for RF and pulsed field ablation technologies.
• Execute verification and validation activities to ensure designs meet safety and reliability requirements.
• Provide technical input into design reviews, hazard analyses, and failure investigations.
• Apply Design for Reliability and Manufacturability principles in compliance with medical device standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, and quality engineering.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree.
• Strong understanding of electrical design principles, including high-voltage circuits and power electronics.
• Ability to contribute to technical decisions within complex, multidisciplinary systems.
• Commitment to patient safety and regulatory compliance in medical device development.
• Must be based in or able to work from Galway, Ireland.

Nice to have

• Experience in analog/digital mixed-signal design.
• Knowledge of safety-critical circuit design.
• Experience with EMC/ESD mitigation techniques.
