TL;DR

Legal Counsel (FTC): Providing commercial legal support for consumer products licensing across EMEA and APAC with an accent on drafting and negotiating complex IP and service agreements. Focus on collaborating with cross-functional teams to mitigate risks and deliver practical legal counsel in a fast-paced media environment.

Location: Must be based in London, UK. This is a hybrid role requiring office attendance at least four days per week (Mon-Thurs).

What you will do

• Draft, manage, and negotiate a high volume of intellectual property license and service agreements for consumer goods.
• Partner with category management, creative, and finance teams to identify and resolve business and legal issues.
• Serve as a primary legal contact for internal stakeholders regarding rights, risks, and unique business propositions.
• Manage legal communications with external partners to ensure swift resolution of contractual matters.
• Support royalty audits and assist in the interpretation of contractual language.
• Maintain and update legal templates to meet evolving business requirements.

Requirements

• UK-qualified solicitor with a minimum of 3 years’ PQE (or equivalent relevant experience).
• Proven commercial and transactional legal experience, ideally within a global entertainment or media company.
• Strong drafting skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to provide practical, accurate, and timely legal advice in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong relationship-building and influencing abilities across various departments and time zones.
• Familiarity with legal software tools such as DocuSign, DMS, and Salesforce.
