What you will do

• Lead and mentor a team of infrastructure engineers focused on secrets management and PKI.
• Define long-term technical roadmaps and oversee day-to-day project execution.
• Review technical designs, project plans, and code to ensure security and resilience.
• Participate in hands-on design and implementation of distributed systems.
• Support team career development and manage performance and compensation planning.
• Collaborate with internal teams to facilitate the secure use of infrastructure tools.

Requirements

• Must be based in North America (US or Canada).
• Proven experience in team leadership or management.
• Strong background in software development and distributed systems design.
• Deep expertise in security implementation (not policy or compliance).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to participate in on-call rotations outside standard hours.

Nice to have

• Experience with cryptography and primitives at the system level.
• Familiarity with HashiCorp Vault, OpenBao, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of HSMs, TPMs, or platform TEEs (e.g., Intel SGX, AMD SEV).
• Proficiency in Go, Python, or Salt.
• Linux/UNIX system administration experience.
• Contributions to open-source security or distributed systems projects.
