What you will do

• Assume responsibility for technology characterization and modeling within the IEA Global Energy and Climate Model.
• Contribute quantitative analysis on energy technology and innovation issues for key IEA publications.
• Draft reports, working papers, and briefing notes for senior management.
• Collaborate with international organizations, the private sector, and research bodies on energy technology analysis.
• Promote IEA research through workshops, presentations, and bilateral meetings.

Requirements

• Advanced university degree in engineering, mathematics, or economics.
• 3–7 years of experience in applied economic and policy analysis, preferably in the energy sector.
• Fluency in English or French with a commitment to reach a good working level in the other.
• Strong quantitative background with experience in large-scale energy models and datasets.
• Excellent command of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Access, and Power Query.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Python, R, TIMES, Matlab, or Vensim.
