What you will do

• Lead and grow a high-performing team of software and data engineers building agentic data capabilities.
• Develop semantic data modeling, data pipelines, and retrieval services for the Consumer Data Plane.
• Coach and mentor engineers on scalable data architecture, ETL patterns, and AI-assisted development velocity.
• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and AI Science teams to power AI-Native experiences and improve customer NPS.
• Define and uphold engineering standards across the Consumer Group, including CI/CD, observability, and SRE practices.
• Manage the operational and financial budget for compute and storage costs of the consumer data plane.

Requirements

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of software development experience, including 2+ years managing software engineering teams.
• Deep understanding of data modeling, schema design, and efficient SQL querying.
• Strong proficiency in MySQL, Spanner, Spark, Flink, BigQuery, Dataflow, Airflow, Java, Python, or C++.
• Knowledge of AI/ML and GenAI technologies, including LLMs, RAG, Semantic Search, and Knowledge Graphs.
• Experience building consumer-scale data pipelines (100M+ users) and 3+ years of experience with AWS or GCP.

Nice to have

• Experience in consumer fintech, tax, or e-commerce domains.
• Experience with Lambda, container orchestration, and serverless architectures.
