Auto Claims Adjuster II - Total Loss

Location: Remote within the United States; periodic travel may be required

Salary: $57,500–$79,100 annually plus bonus

What you will do

• Manage a portfolio of total loss auto claims from assignment through final settlement and closure.
• Investigate coverage, liability, damages, claim circumstances, and complex multi-vehicle accidents.
• Evaluate vehicle values, determine settlement amounts, and negotiate fair resolutions.
• Communicate proactively with customers, claimants, lienholders, agents, vendors, and business partners.
• Explain coverage and settlement decisions while providing empathetic conflict resolution and customer service.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with company policies and state regulations.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of prior claims handling experience, preferably in auto claims.
• Experience independently managing claims inventory and making sound claims decisions.
• Strong knowledge of insurance coverage, liability investigations, and settlement practices.
• Ability to obtain and maintain all required state adjuster licenses.
• Strong verbal and written communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and comply with regulatory requirements.

• Experience handling total loss auto claims.
• Experience investigating multi-vehicle accidents and complex claims.
• Leadership, conflict resolution, and strong customer service experience.
