Associate Claim Rep, Outside Property (Insurance)

Location: NC - Greensboro, United States. The role is based remotely with work from a primary residence or the nearest hirify.global office, plus inspections at residential and commercial locations and possible deployment to other states for catastrophe response.

Annual salary: $52,600–$86,800, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What you will do

• Complete a 9–12 month training program covering insurance policies, claims processes, systems, and procedures.
• Review, investigate, and document first-party property claims under close supervision.
• Gather information from policyholders, claimants, witnesses, and third-party providers.
• Analyze policy documents, contracts, leases, and bylaws to determine coverage for building damage.
• Assess building and contents losses, prepare written or computer-assisted estimates, and maintain accurate claim records.
• Communicate with customers and internal stakeholders, support catastrophe response deployments, and adapt to AI, digital tools, and system upgrades.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and at least one year of customer service experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Bachelor's degree, customer service or insurance experience, and an active adjuster license where required are preferred or expected for the role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with willingness to learn claims management and estimating software.
• Strong communication, judgment, organization, customer service, and basic conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to access and inspect structures, carry and set up a 38–49 pound ladder, climb ladders, walk on roofs, and enter tight spaces is required. Required insurance licenses generally must be obtained within three months of starting.
