Engineering Manager (Infrastructure)

hirify.global is building a new platform abstraction to support agentic development, agentic applications, and entirely new application workloads.

What you will do

• Manage and grow the Infra team, granting engineers ownership of complex problems while maintaining a high technical bar.
• Collaborate with the CTO to align team priorities and determine the strategic technical direction.
• Stay hands-on by contributing to architecture decisions, performing code reviews, and guiding technical design.
• Design, build, and maintain hirify.global's global cloud infrastructure.
• Investigate and improve the overall performance and reliability of internal systems.
• Establish engineering standards and provide direct, constructive feedback to team members.

Requirements

• Deep knowledge of distributed systems and experience operating infrastructure at scale.
• Proven track record of growing engineers and building strong, high-performing teams.
• Strong systems judgment with an ability to balance simplicity versus necessary complexity.
• Experience working in fast-moving startup environments with shifting requirements.
• Ability to write high-quality code.
• Interest in working in-person at the hirify.global office in San Francisco.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Rust.
• Experience with OLTP databases.
