What you will do

• Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive company-wide data privacy strategy and compliance program.
• Lead the selection and roll-out of approved AI platforms, advising on safe implementation and data protection.
• Draft and negotiate privacy and data protection provisions in vendor, partner, and client agreements (DPAs, SCCs).
• Oversee privacy impact assessments and risk assessments for new products and initiatives.
• Manage the privacy incident response process, including breach assessment and regulatory notification.
• Develop and deliver privacy training and awareness programs for employees globally.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership (Tennessee bar or ability to register).
• 15+ years of relevant legal experience with a focus on privacy law and AI-driven environments.
• Deep knowledge of GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and other international privacy frameworks.
• Experience advising on legal issues related to AI products and machine learning development lifecycles.
• Must be based in Nashville, TN.

Nice to have

• Law firm and/or in-house legal experience.
• Privacy certifications such as CIPP/US, CIPP/E, or CIPM.
• Experience within the Media & Entertainment industry.
