What you will do

• Register employers with state and local payroll tax agencies and maintain agency accounts.
• Research state compliance requirements and coordinate with government agencies to resolve registration issues.
• Process and maintain foreign qualifications, including filings and renewals.
• Review tax notices, respond to unemployment claims, and manage compliance-related requests.
• Coordinate specialized client services, including California Statement of Information filings.
• Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement through automation.

Requirements

• Must be based in the US or Canada.
• 2–3 years of experience in payroll operations, tax registrations, compliance, or Secretary of State filings.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to research regulations and navigate government agency websites.
• Excellent written communication and customer service skills.
