Salary: $212,000 — $265,000 USD

What you will do

• Lead and grow a team of security engineers focused on cloud infrastructure and data security.
• Define and drive the team's roadmap in alignment with organizational security priorities.
• Partner with Infrastructure, Data Platform, and Application Security teams to embed security into system operations.
• Guide complex architectural decisions across AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, and identity systems.
• Coach engineers through career development, technical growth, and performance management.
• Communicate technical direction and risk posture to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Requirements

• 9+ years of Engineering Experience, with 5+ years in Security Engineering or Infrastructure.
• 3+ years of People Management experience leading teams of Security Engineers.
• Deep understanding of AWS (or comparable) security: IAM, network security, and secrets management.
• Strong technical judgment in Kubernetes, container security, and Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Experience securing data platforms, pipelines, and data governance patterns.
• Must live in a US state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity.

Nice to have

• Enterprise security experience involving identity, endpoint, or corporate infrastructure.
