What you will do

• Ship backend product features that power AI-driven user experiences at scale.
• Design and implement backend APIs, services, and data flows for agent-driven product features.
• Partner with AI engineers, product managers, and designers to translate vision into production-ready implementations.
• Own features end-to-end from technical design through testing, rollout, and monitoring.
• Drive system reliability, observability, and performance tuning for AI-serving surfaces.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States
• 5+ years of backend engineering experience building user-facing product features.
• Strong fundamentals in API design, service architecture, and data modeling.
• Experience working with AI/ML systems in production environments.
• AI-native mindset with genuine excitement for agents and LLMs.
• Ability to balance iteration speed with code quality and system reliability.

Nice to have

• Experience with LLM integration patterns like RAG, function calling, and prompt routing.
• Proficiency in TypeScript/Node.js, Python, or Go.
• Experience with event-driven or asynchronous architectures.
