What you will do

• Design and build complex backend AI modules, including custom agentic workflows and multi-step reasoning chains.
• Architect and optimize RAG pipelines over unstructured data to ensure precise retrieval accuracy.
• Own end-to-end delivery of AI components from initial scaffold through deployment.
• Implement vector database solutions tailored to specific engagement requirements.
• Abstract successful client implementations into reusable internal tools and libraries.
• Maintain production systems with structured logging, alerting, and cost monitoring.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States
• 5-7 years of backend engineering experience with at least 1 year building production AI agents.
• Deep hands-on experience with vector databases, RAG optimization, and agentic orchestration.
• Proficiency in Python and Node.js with strong backend architecture skills.
• Infrastructure fluency including IaC tools (Terraform or Pulumi), Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Demonstrated ability to earn Claude Architect certification within 60 days.

Nice to have

• Experience with multi-modal data sources.
• Proven track record of improving retrieval accuracy or reducing pipeline latency in live systems.
