What you will do

• Serve as the primary internal point of contact for construction activity, coordinating with general contractors on schedule, scope, and issue resolution.
• Lead the construction-to-operations handoff, including system commissioning, OEM acceptance testing, and warranty tracking for HVAC and electrical systems.
• Build and lead the founding facilities and maintenance team, including hiring, onboarding, and developing a multi-shift technician workforce.
• Implement and manage a CMMS to track asset records, PM schedules, and site-level KPIs for uptime and response time.
• Ensure all facility and maintenance activities comply with aerospace, environmental, and life-safety regulatory requirements (OSHA, NFPA, EPA).
• Manage vendor relationships, SLAs, and spare parts inventory for both production and facility-critical systems.

Requirements

• 10+ years of facilities or maintenance experience in industrial manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a site or multi-site leadership role.
• Experience commissioning or operating facilities of 500K+ sqft with complex utility infrastructure.
• Direct experience with HVAC, compressed air, medium-voltage electrical substations, and overhead cranes.
• U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or protected individual status (ITAR compliance) is mandatory.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial maintenance, construction management, or a related technical field.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to interface with executives and front-line technicians.

Nice to have

• Experience standing up a new manufacturing facility from construction handoff through stabilized operations.
• Familiarity with predictive maintenance, condition monitoring, and reliability engineering.
• Trade certifications or licenses (electrical, HVAC, EPA refrigerant, crane operator).
• Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, TPM, or continuous improvement methodologies.
