Engineering Manager (Core Infrastructure)

Location: Must be based in the US and work from the office 4+ days per week (Bellevue, Palo Alto, or Seattle)

What you will do

• Manage and mentor a team of backend and full-stack developers in a fast-paced environment.
• Build and operate infrastructure for large-scale data processing and distributed systems.
• Set technical strategy, build roadmaps, and create measurable goals for the team.
• Collaborate with Product, Operation, Data Science, and executive stakeholders.
• Evaluate technical tradeoffs of major decisions and provide strong technical mentorship.
• Hire, grow, and retain high-performing team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 9+ years of software development experience (or 8+ years with a Master’s, 5+ years with a PhD).
• 1+ years of experience managing a team of engineers or acting as a Tech Lead.
• Experience building large-scale distributed systems and big data pipelines.
• Ability to lead and execute large, complex technical initiatives.
• Must be able to work in the office 4+ days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with Hadoop, Hive, Trino, BigQuery, and Spark.
• Track record of driving large-scale initiatives from ideation to completion.
• Experience delivering in rapidly changing, highly collaborative, multi-stakeholder environments.
