Operations Supervisor (Aerospace Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Salt Lake City, Utah, on the second shift (Monday–Thursday, 3:00 p.m.–12:00 a.m.; every other Friday, 3:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m.)

Salary: $80,000–$100,000 annually

What you will do

• Provide hands-on leadership through performance management, scheduling, training, and professional development coordination.
• Review standard work with department leads and operators and ensure it is accurate and achievable.
• Coordinate materials flow to work cells and support reliable assembly and test operations.
• Lead root-cause and corrective-action efforts and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop leadership bench strength for new programs and anticipated attrition.
• Create and review Job Safety Analyses and support longer-term quality initiatives with Value Stream Managers and Lean leaders.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of manufacturing operations experience, including direct aerospace or defense manufacturing experience.
• Experience with assembly and test operations, complex mechanical or electrical builds, or precision manufacturing processes.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, work instructions, engineering change orders, and test procedures.
• Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles, including 5S, value-stream mapping, standard work, and waste reduction.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and a demonstrated commitment to safety, compliance, and operational excellence.

Nice to have

• 3+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience managing skilled technicians and building accountable, high-performance teams.
• Knowledge of TWI training, Job Breakdown Sheets, Kata, and Kaizen.
