What you will do

• Lead safety initiatives and enforce PPE requirements within the machine shop.
• Manage daily job lineups and assign tasks to machinists based on skill and availability.
• Drive operational efficiency and ensure machining processes meet aggressive production targets.
• Build, mentor, and develop a team of machinists, programmers, and technicians.
• Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and quality teams to optimize manufacturability.
• Manage inspection reports, non-conformance reports, and critical production documentation.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual (ITAR compliance).
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in machining and precision manufacturing, including 2+ years in a leadership role.
• Demonstrated expertise in CNC machining, multi-axis milling, and tight-tolerance manufacturing with aerospace materials.
• Proficiency in CAM software (Mastercam, NX), ERP/MES systems, and production monitoring tools.

Nice to have

• Experience with aerospace standards such as AS9100 and NADCAP.
• Expertise in lean manufacturing, GD&T, Six Sigma, and statistical process control.
• Background in additive manufacturing or advanced material processing.
