What you will do

• Design and maintain real-time distributed systems with low-latency requirements.
• Develop and integrate complex RESTful APIs to support data insights gathering.
• Refactor and maintain legacy Python codebases while transitioning to Java.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical decision-making.
• Manage system complexity and ensure high availability of services on AWS.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional backend software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java is required (experience in C/C++, Scala, Ruby, Rust, or Go is acceptable if willing to transition).
• Experience with real-time distributed systems and low-latency architectures.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and SQL databases.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Must be based in Brazil.

Nice to have

• Experience with Spring Framework and microservices architecture.
• Background in data analytics tools such as Apache Spark, Hive, or Databricks.
