What you will do

• Own the architecture of backend systems, including APIs, data models, and infrastructure.
• Direct agentic coding tools to generate implementation, while reviewing and hardening the output.
• Build reliable data pipelines and automations for streaming data between systems.
• Translate ambiguous product requirements into clear, actionable technical plans.
• Design REST APIs and manage SQL/NoSQL schemas with a focus on scalability and failure modes.
• Collaborate directly with clients and product owners to iterate quickly toward shipped solutions.

Requirements

• Fluent English (written and spoken) is a hard requirement.
• Strong foundational depth in system design to evaluate and correct AI-generated code.
• Proven product mindset with the ability to orchestrate delivery and iterate independently.
• Experience directing agentic coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex) in daily workflows.
• Proficiency in Python and modern backend fundamentals (REST APIs, SQL, NoSQL).
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, and Docker.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kotlin or Java (Spring Boot).
• Background in running high-availability systems at scale.
• Knowledge of DevOps and infrastructure tools like AWS, Kubernetes, or DigitalOcean.
• Ability to extend frontend functionality when required.
